Are you interested in getting a first-hand report of the ministry of Bible Helps, and taking part in its future? We are planning to hold a Bible Helps General Meeting at Upton Brethren Church on Sunday evening, November 24, at 7pm. Everyone with an interest in Bible Helps is invited, and we encourage all within traveling distance to attend.
Our General Meetings include preaching, sharing letter excerpts, a report from the Editor (who will also field your questions), and elections for our board of directors. As detailed in our bylaws, your interest in the ministry and agreement with the basic doctrines in our publications entitles you to participate as a voting member. You may also bring any ideas or suggestions you may have.
The new article being released this month comes to us from Nathan L. Meyers: “Finding Hope for Living”. Nathan writes, “Hope is one of the most important things to the human heart. … Hope is central to the Christian faith.” Although life on this earth is futile and hopeless in many respects, there is hope beyond the grave, and hope in this life also.
As you prepare for the upcoming holiday season, consider this thought: God designed human beings for relationship…and our health and fruitfulness in relationships with others depend on our relationship with God. Don’t be distracted from what’s really (eternally) important!
