Last week, one of our largest shipments for the year left our print shop. Six
pallets were sent to Edwin L. Hodges Ministries for distribution around the
world. Those six 1,400-lb pallets all together contained 1.4 million tracts in
assorted titles. Almost one million were in Spanish, and the rest in English.
This is one of the largest shipments we make routinely. Last year we printed
about 12.3 million pieces, so a shipment like this is a significant portion of
our yearly production. If we include all our costs for last year, the average
cost per piece of literature comes to about 3.2 cents. We thank God for blessing
the ministry with suitable equipment and faithful volunteers that enable us to
get the message of the Gospel out at this low cost. As many of you know, we do
not ask the people who receive the literature to cover our costs; we are
dependent on God to provide resources through the generosity of His people. The
demand for the Good News far exceeds our ability to supply, but we do what we
can as God supplies us.
This month we are pleased to release another new article by Harold Martin. The
new title is “Paul: An Obedient Messenger“, following in a series of character
sketches from the Bible. We hope you will be blessed and challenged by
the testimony of this man whom God used to help ignite the fires of His church,
and write so many books of the New Testament.
