A few of our immediate goals after getting this site online were to provide a search function on the site, create a subject index for the articles, and make it easy to print out the articles in a simple, useful format. Our webmaster has been busy, and we are excited to announce that all of these have been completed!
We created two separate taxonomies for organizing the articles by subject, one for categories and one for tags. We assigned each article to one or more categories, which reflects the main topic of the article. For other topics referenced by just part of the article, a tag is assigned for each topic. The new subject index page allows you to use both of these systems to find articles. If you’re looking for an entire article on a particular subject, use the expandable category list. If you can’t find what you’re looking for there, use the tag cloud at the bottom of the page to find other articles that mention the topic. Of course you can always use the search box near the top of the page to search all the articles. You can also type a publication number in the search box to find the article by that number.
When you print out an article you will find that the extra features at the top and side of the page that are not actually part of the article will not appear on the printed copy. You should be able to see this in the print preview as well. (Unfortunately this feature is not properly supported in Internet Explorer 8.)
As always, if you have any feedback or suggestions to share, feel free to drop us an email at . We’d love to hear from you!
